As we navigate our way through these difficult times, the question of whether we should be marketing our services, and if so, how we should be selling ourselves to the public becomes a critical issue.

Recent articles suggest that in London, China and New York the amount of internet and phone inquiries about divorce have increased substantially in the last few weeks.  There is great concern over the potential for increase domestic violence.

The service we provide through the Collaborative Process is now more important than ever before.  While the courts are available for emergency situations, the Collaborative Process is available to provide distressed families with a sense of order and control over their difficult situation.

Therefore, I believe it is imperative that we inform the public that we are open for business.  The services we can offer perform a public service. We must inform families that are having difficulties that we are here to assist them in whatever way possible.  We don’t have to sell divorce, we can sell the fact that our process helps families work out their problems in a peaceful, mindful and meaningful way.

Now, more than ever, the Collaborative Process is the best way to solve family issues.
