A Place to Gain Confidence, Competence and Good Friends

A Place to Gain Confidence, Competence and Good Friends

From the desk of My Collaborative Team President, Edward S. Sachs, CPA

Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you got
Taking a break from all your worries
It sure would help a lot
Wouldn't you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name
And they're always glad you came
You want to be where you can see
The troubles are all the same
You want to be where everybody knows your name

Theme Song from “Cheers”

Every Friday we convene our Happy Hour from 4:30 until about 6:15. For those who are regulars, this song couldn’t be truer.  We look forward to this chance to unwind, enjoy each other’s company, learn what is happening in the Collaborative world, learn some tricks of the trade and have stimulating conversations.  Even our 5:30 trivia game becomes a funny and crazy chance to have a good time while learning strange new facts.

It is a chance to gain confidence in what you do as a Collaborative professional when you hear about how others handle the process.  You can gain competence with our stimulating discussions. This past Friday we discussed Dr. Carol Hughes new book on grey divorce and adult children.  We talked about the importance of considering the adult children and even possibly utilizing the children in the process.

Most importantly, it is a chance to unwind at the end of the week with good friends from all over the country.  Many new friends have been made in the past few months.  It is so great to spend time with like-minded professionals and sometimes those connections have led to referrals.

Imagine that!  A chance to learn, to share, to have fun, and to meet new Collaborative friends all at once.  Join us, this Friday and every Friday between 4:30 and 6:15.  We can be found on Zoom at 232 372 311.
