Description:

Tammy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a National Board Certified Counselor, runs a private group practice called My Counseling Connections Inc. and has been in practice since 2003.  Throughout her career she has specialized in working with severe and persistent mentally ill; teens and their families who present with a range of mental health issues including self-harming behaviors, addiction, depression, other mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, and relationship issues.  She has acquired many certifications and specialized trainings over the years including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, the Gottman Approach, among others.  In 2009 Tammy learned about the collaborative process and became highly focused on becoming a specialist and advocate in this area.  Since that time she has become a co-presenter of Second Saturday Broward (Divorce Workshop), a Collaboratively Trained Facilitator, a Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, a Qualified Parenting Coordinator, a Co-Parenting Counselor and focused in on helping individuals and families through the divorce process.  She has attended every FACP conference and is the current secretary of the Collaborative Family Law Professionals of South Florida, a co-chair of the Pro Bono Collaborative Pilot Project in Broward, a committee member of the group's social media and outreach committee, a member the Palm Beach County Family Law Professionals, and a fellow of the FACP Leadership Institute.  Tammy is highly invested in promoting the awareness of the collaborative process.

Education: Tammy obtained a Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Nova Southeastern University and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the University of Western Ontario (Canada).
