Description:

Steve Blumenthal is Collaborative Family Law attorney in Fort Lauderdale, serving Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.  My office is located at 2699 Stirling Road, Suite C-404, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312.

I litigated adversarial family law cases for most of my career, and for myself, maybe for some similar reasons as those leading you to consider Collaborative Law, decided over a number of years to focus my practice on Collaborative Law.  A litigated divorce or other family law case is based on the threat you are under from an adverse or unclear result in Court – not necessarily the best process for family issues, and usually very expensive.

In addition to the potential stress of any legal matter, a divorce can involve a wide range of issues from children’s issues and providing for the welfare of your children, and finding ways to parent without ongoing conflict; to pensions, business valuations and other financial issues.  Your Collaborative Law team will include professionals with a high level of expertise. My law degree is from the University of Chicago, with an LL.M in Taxation and work in corporate, real estate and tax law earlier in my career. My former career was as a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.  You can visit my website for a more complete biography.
