Karen D. Sacks

Address:
9250 W Glades Rd. Suite 209 Boca Raton, Florida, United States 33434
Description:

Karen D. Sacks has been in practice as a Nationally Certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 30 years.  She is licensed in both Florida and Illinois and is the Founder and Director of The Center for Counseling and Rational Solutions in Boca Raton, Florida.  Karen has developed a comprehensive set of “Tools for Life” which she uses to help her clients manage life issues, difficulties and crises. This eclectic approach effectively combines sensitivity and humor with cognitive behavioral therapy, visualization, relaxation and biofeedback techniques.  With her vast experience working nationwide with chronic pain (both emotional and physical), she is an excellent resource, giving assistance to physicians, attorneys and clients alike. These methods have proved especially successful with her specialties including; Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Headache and Chronic Fatigue as well as Stress, Anxiety and Depression.  Karen is experienced at working with a wide variety of age groups either individually, as couples or in a group setting - specializing in Adolescents/Teens, Families of Divorce, Life Change Adjustments, & Relationship/Communication issues.

More recently, Karen’s passion for children and families led her to certification by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Family and Elder Mediator.   She is also qualified as a Parenting Coordinator and is trained as a neutral mental health facilitator in collaborative law. As a Collaborative Family Law Professional, she is committed to helping clients reach settlement without court intervention.   Working alongside a specially trained lawyer and financial professional, in an atmosphere of courtesy and cooperation, the impact of divorce on the children is minimized, stress and anxiety are reduced, privacy and confidentiality are preserved, and time and money are saved.   Specializing in children and families of divorce, she watched many of her clients go through nasty divorces, dragging their kids along for the ride. Karen observed the one thing people lack most, is proper communication skills and techniques. As a conflict resolution and relationship expert, she is able to quickly identify relationship-based issues that are negatively impacting her client’s lives.   Her philosophy is that life doesn’t have to be so hard, maintaining that communication is the key. Again, using her “Tools for Life” and fostering communication, she helps families get through these emotionally difficult times in a more Caring, Confidential and Cost- Effective way. Karen D. Sacks is a proud member of both the Collaborative Family Law Professionals of South Florida and the South Palm Beach County Collaborative Law Group.

EDUCATION

“Karen Sacks worked for a number of years out of our office as a psychotherapist. She has a wonderful rapport with clients,

had a terrific relationship with our staff and was the best therapist I have been associated with or worked with in my career.

Karen is very agile in a number of therapeutic situations, dealing with individuals as well as couples. She also was very effective with a wide range of ages. I highly recommend Karen as a therapist…”
